United in Diversity Café Copenhagen

Have you ever wondered what it means to be a European Union citizen? the rights, responsibilities, and opportunities associated with it? Join us for the “United in Diversity Café”, a space where you can learn, discuss, have fun, meet new people, and enjoy a meal together, free of charge. As we have a limited number of seats, please sign up for the event here.

The event is organized by AMIS with support from Last Week in Denmark, and it is part of a nine events series happening around Denmark. The purpose of the events is to promote awareness about European Union citizenship, create a meet-up space for people with diverse backgrounds, and kickstart a potential anchor for the diversity in your community. The event is financed by Europa-Nævnet.

Narcis George Matache is the founder and executive editor of Last Week in Denmark, board member of AMIS, and CEO of Aalborg Institute for Development. He has published two books on the topic of European citizenship in three different languages and has been an active part of the debate on European Union topics since 2014. Former vice-president of Europæisk Ungdom and former national board member of Europabevægelsen.

Adrian Ionel Ursu is an experienced consultant on the topic of European Union citizenship - rights and opportunities. Over the last decade, he has helped thousands of people in Denmark to better understand how to apply their rights and how to navigate the Danish system as EU citizens. He is part of the team that is currently developing the first “European Union citizenship” course in Denmark.
