“Life Capital”: How a Game Helps Ukrainians in Denmark Build Financial Strategies and Entrepreneurial Thinking

Throughout May 2025, the European-Ukrainian Hub in Copenhagen hosted a series of four interactive sessions based on the board game Life Capital. This format is aimed at developing practical skills in resource management, strategic planning, and decision-making under uncertainty.

A Game That Teaches Through Experience

Each workshop lasted four hours and gathered a small group of 10 participants. Following a brief introductory lecture on financial freedom, participants immersed themselves in the gameplay, taking on the roles of entrepreneurs, investors, and strategists. They launched businesses, assessed risks, made financial decisions, and built long-term strategies using game currency, investment cards, and financial planning tables.

Professional Facilitation

The workshops were facilitated by Yuliia Dmukh — a certified Life Capital trainer, psychologist, and entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience. Thanks to her expertise and gentle facilitation style, a safe and supportive learning environment was created where participants openly shared insights and challenges.

Due to high demand, all workshop spots were quickly booked. In total, 40 participants engaged with the game and highly appreciated its practical value and dynamic learning process.

Supporting the Ukrainian Community in Denmark

Such events align with the mission of the European-Ukrainian Hub — to support Ukrainians in Denmark through education, networking, and the development of entrepreneurial competencies. The Life Capital game became another important step in this direction, equipping participants with real tools for achieving financial stability and launching business ideas.
