On May 3, 2024, Ukrainians in Denmark, as part of a series of business visits organized by the European-Ukrainian Hub, learned about Danish business culture and social responsibility projects in Carlsberg. The Copenhagen headquarters of the company warmly opened its doors and introduced the guests to the brewing industry and the company’s leading work directions of today and in the future, as well as Carlsberg’s activity on the Ukrainian market.

The guests had a short conversation with the CEO Carlsberg Jacob Aarup-Andersen, who noted that the company is one of the ten largest taxpayers in Ukraine (3.3 billion hryvnias annually) and recalled his personal meeting with the President of Ukraine V. Zelensky.

The Ukrainians learned about the business model of the company, whose portfolio consists of 140 brands, each with a unique character; about the activities of the research laboratory, scientific discoveries that changed the world; about the activity of plants in Ukraine. For the Ukrainians, it was especially interesting to hear about the company's new strategy "Together Towards ZERO", which has been implemented since 2015 in the following directions: zero carbon footprint, zero water loss, zero irresponsible drinking, and zero accidents culture. In these turbulent times for Ukraine, the Carlsberg Group, the Carlsberg Foundation and the Tuborg Foundation have allocated EUR 10 million in immediate aid for Ukrainians. In 2023, the company's profits amounted to 12.5 billion; its activities cover 150 markets and produce 140 brands, 31,000 inspired employees are involved in its work.

While visiting the Carlsberg exhibition, a group of Ukrainians had the opportunity to learn about the history of the company and the dynamics of entering world markets; about the development of family relations of the founders; about charitable support of cultural and artistic projects and the company's role in society during 177 years.

The Ukrainians were delighted with the company's visit and, in turn, expressed their gratitude to the company's management in a gratitude letter and thanked the company for its active position regarding the armed aggression against Ukraine and for terminating its activities on the Russian market.

"These are unforgettable impressions, I will always associate a visit here with everything beautiful that is here in Denmark," says Iryna. "It's unique," Ukrainian actors Anatoly and Tetyana Zinovenka say.
