With a wide speaker lineup ranging from seasoned entrepreneurs to industry experts, the summit, organized by Career Club DK and hosted by The European-Ukrainian Hub, gave its more than 200 attendees insights, inspiration and thorough provoking stories to encourage them to make their mark in the business and career world.
The summit kicked off with Janette Carlsson, Founder and CEO of Tech Nordic Advocates, who shared her journey and lessons learned over her 30-year career in international tech leadership. From building ecosystems to launching Europe's only female tech founder program, Janette emphasised the critical role women play in advocating for innovation in the tech industry.
Following Janette's inspiring keynote, attendees listened to a inspiring presentation from Iryna Bulai, owner of Flutterby Macarons. Iryna shared her entrepreneurial journey of starting a successful macaron business. Iryna's story of passion, perseverance, and embracing the unknown resonated with aspiring business owners, reminded of the importance of courage and resilience in pursuing one's dreams.
The summit also featured Ukrainian businesswoman Anna Coen, an expat with 15 years of global experience in finance, consulting, and startups. Anna shared her personal journey as an expat and offered advice on navigating diverse cultures and professional landscapes. As the founder of DKtechUkraine, Anna's work facilitates communication between the Danish and Ukrainian technology sectors, empowering Ukrainian refugees to find jobs and opportunities.
Throughout the day, participants were offered a series of engaging workshops and presentations that focsed on topics such as financial success, personal development, and navigating career change. Attendees gained practical skills from experts like Diana Croitoru, a finance expert, who provided valuable guidance on managing finances and setting goals that are ambitious yet achievable for business growth.
As the day came to a close, participants left the summit feeling invigorated, motivated, and equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in their entrepreneurial and career journeys. Women's Empowerment Summit proved to be a testament to the resilience, determination, and innovation of women in career and business.
